Solid Fuel Installation
This job involved replacing an original solid fuel fireplace with a new one. The original hearth was taken off and the tiled surround removed.
Some patching up was needed on the walls at the side to accommodate the new stone surround. The hearth was then put in place by bedding on a concrete base and finally the new grate fitted. With the fire fitted the wall was patched up underneath in readiness for the customer to decorate.
Should a solid fuel fire be replacing gas or electric it is the customers responsibility to ensure there is a working chimney.
